Applications now open for 2018 student scholarships

The John Cummins Memorial Fund will be offering more scholarships to deserving working class secondary students later this year. Check on this site for details.

Stacey and Ozge received JCMF scholarships for 2011. Stacey is using hers to cover the cost of vocational training in the equine industry and Ozge is now able to pay for maths and guitar lessons. We seek to acknowledge students who display determination, commitment and passion.

Grants of up to $1000 per individual/$5,000 per school are available.

Student application criteria:

  • Must show promise, passion and motivation to pursue their talent.
  • Be currently attending secondary (yrs 7-11) or training school.
  • Be able to show evidence of financial need – Youth Allowance, Education Maintenance Allowance etc.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.

Nominations must be approved by the School Principal.

Priority will be given to students who attend government schools.
